Diego Guzman
Computer Science and Informatics Ph.D. Student at Emory University
Hello and welcome! I am a first-year Computer Science and Informatics Ph.D. Student at Emory University. My research focuses on using Ubiquitous Computing as a means to enhancing human agency for individuals with physical and cognitive impairments. I am also fortunate and privileged to be a NIH NIGMS IMSD Fellow.
I recently graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Informatics with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction and a minor in Information and Computer Sciences. During my time at UC Irvine, I was actively involved in undergraduate research at the Social & Technological Action Research (STAR) Lab, where I was fortunate to be advised by Dr. Jesus Armando Beltran Verdugo, Dr. Franceli Cibrian, and Dr. Gillian Hayes. In the summer of 2024, I worked as an Undergraduate Research Intern at UC Berkeley’s EPIC Data Lab mentored by Dr. Yiming Lin and Dr. Aditya Parameswaran.
Contact: I am always open to research collaborations and broader conversations about life. Please feel free to reach out to me via email at diego[dot]guzman[dot]gonzalez[at]emory[dot]edu.
